JUST TEASING----Truth is---
It was hauled from the Dallas show, when I set it up here at home it was in tune. I played it about a week and broke the 3rd string. Of course i had to tune it. It has set in the cold in my work shop and brought into the house several times in the past month. I took it to Mount Vernon IL in my camper. When I checked my tunning for the show, I had to tweak my 10th string a little was all. I brought it back home Sat, set it up today,(Sun) to play it and guess what it is in perfect tune. Wow! is all I can say. _________________ Custom Rittenberry SD10

Bill,
be cautious when talking about the Rittenberry guitar! You know that Gary is slow and old and super sensative about his guitar; his heart won't take a lot of joking. And on top of that; he's to old to cut the mustard!!!!
Jody Cameron told me to say that; I am perfectly innocent and will plea the 5th ammendment!
My guitar plays better than your guitar; ha,ha,ha! |

Played my wonderful "black" Rittenberry yesterday, and I still marvel at the tone of this beautiful guitar! Does it stay in tune? You bet. I've only broken one string in the year I've had it, the 3rd string, and that was when I had just put it on new and it broke while bringing it taut. I'd say that was a faulty string, not the guitars problem. I don't know how Gary can continue to build such a dream guitar for the price. You can go out and spend considerably more for guitars that start with an early or last alphabet, but you're not getting any more guitar for your money. Nuff said! |

I have been playing mine since I brought it home from Dallas...and WoW! I am amazed at how well it stays in tune! I played a 4 hour gig on Saturday night and I had to tweak the 3 & 5 stings just a little because I changed them the night before...My Rittenberry has performed AWESOME!..(even with me picking out some sour notes!...haha!)
Here is a pick from Sat. night...(sorry, it was taken with my cell phone)

Hey Brandon,
Love that "four-on-the-floor" man! That is a change I'd like to have, even if it is supposed to be a "one-lick" pedal. Here's to you, Gary, you're the man! |

Bill, as soon as I read the topic I knew you were either joking or just full of B.S. Tuning problems and Rittenberry built guitars just don't go together.
My LaGarritt hardly ever needs tuned. So far, I haven't broken any strings...I'm waiting for it anyday now!!! My guitar is a 4X5 and I LOVE IT!!!
Gary builds a mighty-fine guitar!!!

Hey Brandon, is that PLAIN WATER that is sitting by your steel? I thought I taught you better than that!!
Seriously, though, my Ritt stays in tune very well. An occasional tweak of the B pedal is all I have to do, and even then only occasionally, especially if the string needs changing. jc |

Hey JC, yes you taught him well, but what you don't know is, Brandon got smarter then you. He now puts Vodka in the water bottle so that no one knows!!!
(I am just kidding JC)
It looks like we are getting a long list of Rittenberry's!!! I can see ole' Gary setting around with his feet propted up and smokin' a big cigar and dreamin' about steel guitars jumping over the fence like little sheep. What do you think Gary??
I didn't make this up; Jody told me to say that.
Hasta la vista Baby, I'll be bock..... |

Bill I knew you just had to be kidding with the tuning problem on the Rittenberry. I have owned a Nashville LTD, another Rittenberry and Just got my new one this week. No tuning problems on any ot them. Gary is building some great guitars, not only stay in tune, they look and play fantastic also. Great person and builder for sure. here is a pic of my new one;
