It was great to see Ray and Willie on the Huckabee show tonight (Sunday 4/19) Just wondering if anyone knows who the steel player was. I did not recognize him. They didn't leave the camera on the steel player for more than a few seconds. Whoever it was, I thought he did an outstanding job.
I plan to email Mike Huckaby and let him know how good it was to see a couple of legends like Ray Price and Willie Nelson on National TV and especially with a LIVE BAND. How COOL is that !

I missed most of it but caught the last song.
Did you know that the Holiday Inn offered Mike Huckabee a 6 nighter at their Washington DC hotel if he had won the presidency? _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

Jim did a great job on Saturday in New Brunswick N.J.
I got to talk with him as well as Ray and Willy. We even spent a little time on the bus with Ray. When you are with either Ray or Willy you "feel" that you're in the presence of a legend. They were both very friendly and much more willing to talk than their security people would let you think. My wife taped the Huckabee show and even if you didn't see much of Jim you sure did get to hear him take his turn playing. Every "new" country wannabe should take a lesson from Ray and his Cherokee Cowboys about how a band should present themselves. They had more class and dignity than I've seen in a while.
I know not everyone should try to duplicate them but I would like to see bands display a little pride in their presentation. |

I thought Ray and Willie and the band looked great. Even Willy wore a tie. The whole band was dressed nicely and it gave a good look as well as a great sound.
I am tired of seeing musicians on stage that look like they just crawled out from under a bridge somewhere. _________________ Zum Steel, Little Walter Amp, Benado Steel Dream

Wow!...man that's awesome! Jim is a fantastic player! Gotta love that Emmon's!
I just love the way Ray and the Cherokee Cowboys present themselves on stage...true professionalism! I don't like wearing a suit and tie...but if I ever had the chance to play with Ray (yea, right..in my dreams! wake up! wake up!) I would gladly wear one!
Totally awesome! this has made my day! I wanna go home and play my steel now...THANKS!
