Does anybody knows the origin of the fretboard design of the Franklin Guitars?
Looking at mine a fellow player asked me at the Charlieu Steel Days this week end if I got an answer to this question. I don't... Embarassed

Laughing maybe during the construction of the first Franklin, Mr Franklin got bit by a spider when trying to think of a name for the steel. Laughing just kidding of course Laughing

Seriously, I don't know but I think it looks very cool. I have had people ask me about it too and they always say they think the design is awesome.

Mr Franklin told me he selected that as it was neutral and wouldn't offend anyone. He is a christian man and didn't want to use anything that would even remotely cause issues.

Jack,
Mr Franklin told me the same thing in the form of a short story.

Charlie, I just have fancied a maybe less casual explanation due this particular fretboard design.
Please do not see another cause because there is no other reason.
