I've just completed a series of compositions for lap steel guitar in various altered tunings. Most of these pieces were recorded in one take, with the ambient textures and spatial processing occurring in real time. As with much of my music, this work is intended to invoke and transfer moods and feelings at the confluence of inner and outer landscapes.
Here is a preview if you would like to listen:

I enjoyed #4. I'm not sure you need the coda, it has a nice exit with the single note fade.
I couldn't get 2 and 3 to play, I might have confused it by moving the thing around. -- chas |

Thanks to all for the kind words and open ears!
Kevin and Loren: I've truly enjoyed sampling your offerings on the web.
Chas: I see/hear what you mean about the coda. Actually, that's a truncated version of the piece, and what you're hearing is the beginning of the next section. Perhaps I'll post the whole piece before too long. And yes, that audio player is quite easily confused...
Chris: I don't know either of those guys, but I ran the names by a friend who has been on the VT music scene longer than I have, and the mention elicited smiles and good memories... something about a western swing band from Sacramento arriving in Vermont back in the 70s. And funny you should mention videos:
