Guys, I recently bought a box of amp chassis as well as other equipment from Beany, John's son in law. We weren't sure of exactly what the amps were. According to Scott at Evans, two were early model FET-500 LE's and two were strictly 200 watt power amps that were never put into production. John had these power amps to mount inside speaker cabinets to use with the Evans preamp that I also now have.
I am keeping one of each but will sell the other two for what I paid for them. I have plugged them in and connected them to a speaker to make sure they power up and work, but haven't really taken the time explore all avenues.

Please note these items are for sale only to "established forum member.". I am not profitting off of these amps and really have no problem keeping all of them. But I want to share some of this with others. Please let me know what you think!

No offense to Scott at Evans, but he seemed really eager to sell me a new amp rather than focus on the amps I had questions about. Derrell Stephens may have more info on these amps than anyone and I certainly invite his comments and opinion.

Evans 200 watt power amp I believe based on the SE-200 model amps. S/N 0340-4 $150

Evans FET-500 amp chassis S/N LE-002 dated 12/81 without reverb tank. (these are available at accutronics) This amp was modified by Evans to remove the depth & expand switches and use pot/knob controls instead. It sounds to me like the treble was also modified since I was able to turn it up to 4 without shattering glass as with most Evans amps. $175

Please post on the forum if you want the amps rather than emails or private messages.
Thanks,
Dave

Tim it's yours. It will come exactly as you see in the pics. Evans does have the knobs in stock for $3 each and accutronics has the reverb tanks for about $25. Please email me for details.
Thanks,
Dave
