Mine is just written out by hand but I sometimes use frontpage to get the codes I need..I would like to have one that is not quite so simple and thought about Dreamweaver but I hate to spend the money for such an expensive program when mine is good enough for what I do...RS http://home.comcast.net/~rscott169 _________________ Franklin D10 Stereo - 8 and 6 - Black Box-Zum Encore 4 and 5 Nashville 400,Session 400, DD3 for delay ,also Benado Effects pedal.

If you are comfortable with Front Page, stay with it. Dreamweaver is a big change from FP just for some bells and whistles. Not saying it not better just a big change. I wish I had started with Dreamweaver. You know the old dog new tricks thing.
With that all said, That FP 2003 was good, so MS didn't make any newer version.
I have a few sites I built and maintain that are steel guitar related.
www.LouisvilleSteelGuitar.com
www.ManasotaSteelGuitarClub.com
www.AlabamaSteelGuitar.net
www.BillyRobinson.net
www.LTZinn.com
BobCallawaySteelGuitar
www.JoeTurnerSoundTracks.com or www.JoeTurnerSteelGuitar.com
www.w4mop.com/forumbirthdays.htm Forum Members Birthday Page
www.DannyHammers.com very old site
A big mistake I see made is pictures. Don't resize in FP. resize some place then take it to FP. It will give a long load time if you don't
I have over 370+ Webpages running, some being Masonic sites.
I'm not very good but willing to help when I can
Love You Guys & God Bless

I've developed pages in the past with Frontpage 98 and 2003. Easy to use. I am learning dreamweaver (actually the whole Adobe Creative Suite CS4 Web Premium) to get certified and try to find a job. Unfortunately, Frontpage is no longer made by Microsoft and have heard they no longer support it. I was also talking to the hosting company I signed with, and they no longer have Frontpage extensions and say that many more will be phasing them out. So if you have pages on these sites that use the extensions, they will eventually stop working. Microsoft's new product is called Expressions, but the web host says that it is not catching on too well. I don't know if you can convert Frontpage files/sites to Expressions or not. If I was Microsoft, I would have made that possible in Expressions to keep my customer base. I get gun shy about buying products from a company who instead of updating to the current design standards, just abandons it and comes out with a new product at 3 times the cost (still a lot cheaper than Dreamweaver suites - But I don't know if Expressions has included programs similar to Photoshop, Flash, Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, Fireworks, etc... 16 programs in all in the Adobe suite). |

Here's mine: http://davidkurrasch.com/
It's overdue for an update!
I originally created it with Frontpage, but have since been updating it with Yahoo Sitebuilder.
I bought Dreamweaver, but I haven't learned how to use it yet. It seems a little more complicated, or it could be that I just haven't taken enough time to learn it yet! _________________ https://www.youtube.com/user/kurraschd |

A good choice, slightly problematical with a rather steep learning curve, but well worth the effort. |

Ray-Thanks for your post. I have a website that I've had for a few years. My Grandaughter's Husband set up the pages, etc, for me.(He programs computers for a drug research company in San Diego).
My good friend Bill Moore of this Forum ,Did a lot of work on it and has been updating when needed. If I ever get a CD put together for him, he will put some of my songs on it.
The URL link for it is in my signature at the bottome of all my posts. It is on my personal direct Email also......al. _________________ Michigan (MSGC)Christmas Dinner and Jam on my 80th Birthday.

Dreamweaver is about the best one going, but you still need some XHTML/CSS chops to get something that looks good and is easy to update/maintain and that will pass validation. Frontpage is way last century, fuggaboutit. _________________ C#
