I guess it's all in the numbers.
With the release of Ukulele Hit Parade, I now have three ukulele/steel CDs in my catalog. Elderly Instruments has awarded me my very own plastic divider in the CD racks on their showroom floor.
No longer will my music be found in the dimly lit section "Misc. Instrumentalists K-R". There will now be a Gerald Ross section in the Elderly racks (with at least a 60 watt bulb illuminating it).
So, next time you visit Elderly in Lansing, snap a picture of yourself standing next to the Gerald Ross plastic divider and email it to me along with your Elderly proof of purchase of any Gerald Ross CD (with purchase price circled - photo copies will not be accepted, please include UPC Code, one offer per household, void where prohibited, must be over 21 or be accompanied by parent or guardian) and I'll send you a free disk of your choice (Ukulele Hit Parade excluded).
Please email me before your trip to Elderly - I know a really good Mexican restaurant around the corner from them.
Or just make it easier by going to my website for the 2-for-1 CD deal currently going on in my online store (w/ free stickers). No documentation required.
Click the CD picture!

Here it is! I was at Elderly on Saturday delivering a shipment of CDs.
My mother would be so proud.
They apologized for the handwritten divider. They ran out of the press-on type they typically use. They promised a "properly fonted" divider within the next week or so.

Yep, I'm going to quit my job today. I'm going to tell my boss exactly what I feel! They can't screw with me anymore - I'm a plastic divider! _________________ Gerald Ross

Hi Gerald,
I always thought that you were a uniter and not a divider. I enjoyed talking with you in Dallas.

Yes, I'm doing my part for the 'Great Lake State'.
Unfortunately as CEO of UkeTone Records, I had to make some hard and painful decisions with the release of 'Ukulele Hit Parade'.
We went way over budget on the new disk. Typically a project of this size costs us $4,000,000. Ukulele Hit Parade cost us $123,000,000.
Because of the budget overrun, approximately 3500 UkeTone employees were either laid off or given the opportunity for early retirement. We even closed our Paris and Madrid offices. Now many of these workers have been with UkeTone for over 40 years and many of them are 'legacy' employees - meaning, their grandparents were with UkeTone when it began back in 1879.
Hopefully sales of 'Ukulele Hit Parade' will be strong enough to rehire, retrain and reinvigorate the faithful employees who made UkeTone what it is today.
Do your part - Order the disk! _________________ Gerald Ross

The Government is sure to take this over now and appoint a new government CEO over the operation. Afterall the Government wants to take care of all of us who fail whether we deserve it or not.
Sorry about this misfortune, Gerald, but maybe you will have better luck in the next life or else you will need a miracle in this life to resurrect your business.
I'll pray for your miracle that your CD sells will start booming.
Aloha

Better than visiting the store I ordered this CD directly from UkeTone Records. Kinda like by-passing the middle man... wait, I am a middle man in my job, hmmm.
I just downloaded it to the iPod this morning and can't wait to listen to it and my "free" Romance & Adventure.
Great job Gerald! Your gonna be big! |

Hi Gerald,
Be honest, is it really worth a flight from the UK to see your plastic divider? I know that it is an historical occasion but........
Congrats. |

Ray my friend,
If you visit from the UK I will personally pick you up at the airport, have food and beverages waiting for you at Villa-Ross and have fresh cut flowers adorning your private suite. The next day we will drive up to Lansing and visit Elderly together (I'll pay for gas). We'll snap photos, look at instruments and have lunch at the great Mexican restaurant around the corner (your food receipt is not to exceed $6.95).
All this, and stickers too! _________________ Gerald Ross

I just received my 2 CD's. While copying to my I-Pod the genre comes up as "UNCLASSIFIABLE." I have to agree It's just great music. I also proudly installed one of the included UkeTone stickers to my office door... cool!!! _________________ Tribo-Toneā¢ Bars |

Seeing things that aren't alphabetized makes my Tourettes' and OCD fight with each other. How'd 'Ross' get ahead of 'Klein'? (I know... practice...). |

"G"erald is before "J"anet.
Ross has four letters. Klein has five.
Both Gerald and Janet end with consonants. The d in Gerald is before the t in Janet.
Come on Craig, you're a computer programmer, can't you see the logic? _________________ Gerald Ross
