This is what seems to be an early 80's pro 1 that someone cut a slice out of to accommodate a second pickup(since removed). the "custom" fretboard has been removed to reveal the metal fretboard that was under it. Of course I managed to peel up the metal board a little just in front of the roller nut when i peeled the colorful rhinestone board off, so you'll probably want to just get a new fretboard altogether if you want it perfect. (It could be stuck back down, and the fretboard functions perfectly, it just wont look perfect...)

Jim Palenscar put together two knee lever assemblies that were out of commission when I got the guitar, and basically set the guitar up, so it plays beautifully, and sounds great. I played it for a tour or two, then Jim put my S-10 push pull together, so this one no longer gets it's fair share of play time.

We left the pickup in the customary position, but took out the added one, so there is a gap there where the 2nd pickup was mounted. I don't have the 2nd p/u anymore.

The pix here are "pre Palenscar" but I dont have any newer pix of the guitar right now. I can do some if need be......

The pickup is a 5 way, but we just have it wired as a regular humbucker. YOu could wire it to a 5 way switch and have quite a few options at your disposal if you wanted to.

The guitar sounds great, and plays wonderfully. I'd keep it as a backup, but it needs to get played, and I need $$, so here it goes......
I'm in los angeles, so any interested parties would be able to pick it up here, or I can ship it.
any questions, call me @ 323.819.0959 or post 'em up here.

I also have a little buddy student model guitar 3x1 that Jim Palenscar rebuilt/set up for $500. I'll do a seperate post for that here in a few.

Here's the updated pix of the guitar. It was sold, but the buyer backed out. I have sent these pix to a few people, but have no solid deal with anyone as of now.
As you can see, the fretboard wil prob need to be replaced, but at least, for the time being, it works just fine. what you see is residual adhesive from the "creative artist" that "customized" the guitar in the first place.
Another note: it has one teardrop knee assembly(Coop part) the others are all the straight ones.
The case is the one with the compartment for a volume pedal and is in good condition
thanks,
JOrdan

Wouldn't be too hard to put a block of polished aluminum in that nasty space.

Someone was thinking about putting another pickup back in the void as well. i like the aluminum idea as well. hadn't really thought of that.

Cool idea
