The Crossover went through at least 4 different changer designs in as many years. Who has an educated opinion about the last one? What is the diference in it and the first of the Professional changers? Is there any? People say(ocasionally) that they had great luck with tuning the Crossover...I suspect it was a 69-70 model with well lubed racks, poorly lubed barrels and some luck.

Mr. Dixon
You failed to respond to the part in question...I am interested in the actual changer. I am painfully aware of the rack-barrel-crossover issues, Isn't the last crossover changer/fingers the same ones on the first Pro?

I don't even use the crossover. I have it adjusted to 4 peds on the E9 and 2 on the C6. Easy to do, takes the worry out of it. I have never trusted the klunky mechanism.

You are correct.

I will immediately edit the post. I violated my own "pet-peave" concerning forums. I beg your forgiveness.

Carl, I'm truly sorry if I came off short about your post. You do know a bunch about all this, I'm a novice trying to make the best of it. I really do appreciate any help I can get on this...I think I'm goin' down to Coop's on monday. I live 2 hours from him.
