Hi everyone, just received this mail from joan the wife of Buddy, thought i'd pass it along.
Great steel player, had some good times with him back in the 80s. Slim.

Hi everyone - this is Buddy's wife Joan here. Just want all of you to know that Buddy is in the hospital ICU.. He has pnemonia very, very bad. I almost lost his Monday night - his BP hit rock bottom. That's why he was put in ICU. Anyway, they got his BP back to normal, but his breathing was very bad and labored. To make a long story short, the Dr. in ICU put a breathing tube down his throat right after midnight last night. He was very heavily sedated and the Dr. told me to go home and get some rest. I have been with him day and night since about 10 AM Sunday morning - came home for only about an hour each day. He is in good hands now. Pray for him and I will keep you all updated. Thanks

Very sorry to hear that Joan. Received a email from Buddy just a couple of days ago and he said he was feeling much better after his heart prob. Will keep him in my thoughts.When he feels better say Hi for us here in Montreal
