I have an MCI S-10 3+4 for sale. It has 2 serial numbers on the body....SS 9001....18584. Emmons set-up. Great tone. $1400 shipped to lower 48.

Having owned four MCI guitars, both welded frame and not, I can't see what the big deal is.
All the Steel on the Step One Production albums that Buddy played on, were done on an MCI and the frame wasn't welded.This info came to me from Buddy at Dallas two years ago.

I might add that the total weight of the steel and case is right at 40 lbs.

I had sold this guitar to Larry several years ago when it was traded through my shop. It sounds excellent, and looks much better then the photos show. Also, Larry will treat you right, and is a very respected player in our region.
