Hal Durham, manager of the Grand Ole Opry from 1978 to 1993, has died at age 77.

If there ever was a sad day for Country Music, this has to be it. I rank it up there with Hank Sr. and Ernest Tubb. Truly a sad day. But I know in my heart he is up there in Heaven right now with the legendary Grant Turner and Hal calling the Opry in Heaven.

My condolences to his family and many friends, sure wish he was back as GM instead of that thang thats there now.
