I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I just joined the forum today.
Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm Cameron Tilbury--originally from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and now living in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England.
I started playing steel guitar when I was 7 years old, taking lessons from Eric Golding in Hamilton, and mentored by Bob Wingrove (a family friend and long-time steel player with the old Main Street Jamboree, Family Brown and lots more). I last touched a steel guitar 25 years ago.
Over the years, was just really busy working at radio stations like 820 Cham, 1390 Choo and KX 96FM.

Now, thanks to finding John Davis here in the UK, I'm back. I visited John and he let me sit down and play again. Wow! It all started coming back. The first thing was harmonics for some reason. Then the picking started coming back--chords are going to take a while, but I'll get there.

This is a second chance for me--and it's good to be back amongst "family."

I have to tell you, sitting back down behind John's Emmons felt amazing. To come back to something after that long away--and have things come back bit by bit--was incredible.
I want to be good again...and now I can appreciate it more than I did so long ago.

I'll be asking you all for help!
