My Tubefex is not working properly or should I say at all.
It all happened when I was going to start my daily practice session and I heard some strange noice in my in ear monitor as I was turning my Tubefex on and the noice went on in time to the shimmering of the lights at the front. I instantly turn it off.
When I, after the first time, turn on the power nothing happens, the lights on the front is shimmering, sometimes they don´t, and sometimes some of them skimmers.
There´s nothing to be seen on the display more than a lot of squares consisted of small dots at the best. Worst case, nothing is shown.
It´s obvious that anything that happens or is shown on the front panel whether it will be on the display or at some button, it´s randomly. Sometimes this happen and sometimes that.
If I turn the TF on while pressing the DOWN and LEFT arrow buttons down I don´t see anything, not even the firmware version. As far as I know I should have seen it.
Battery modifikation has been done by the owner prior to myself.
Is there somebody out there and over there that might come up with any clue of what´s wrong I would appreciate hearing from you and your solutions to my problems.
Thanks in advance

Some of the early models has 1/4" nuts on the back of the studs that hold the display. Those would sometimes back of and short thing out. Take the lid off and make sure these are not loose.
After that try to re-initialize the unit and reload settings
Hold the "DOWN" and "RIGHT" cursors and apply power. Unit will default to factory settings. |

Ken,
I checked the nuts on the back of the display but those nuts were as tight as they could be. I even checked the 2 fuses but they seemed OK. I looked all over the circuit board but I didn´t see anything suspicious.
After I put the lid back I put the power on and the lights around the POST GAIN button glimmered and so did the lights at CLEAN_CRUNCH_LEAD but not at the ULTRA and not at no more buttons.
I guess I have to pay Peavey service in Stockholm a visit and let them find out what´s wrong and maybe they can fix it.
Any way, thanks a lot Ken.
