I have a lap steel made by Bob Allen of livingstone, Tn.It has six strings, made of natural cherry wood.
Go to Bob,s website to view picture ( musiconthe mountian.com
The instrument has two upgrades, a Brass nut and Gover Tuners.
My primary instrument is my Remington Steelmaster S8. I bought The Allen Melbert Lapsteel about a year ago, but never got into playing it.
I paid $350 for it and will sacrifice and sell it for $200.00 plus shipping. there is no case but I have a nice travel bag that has never been used and I will include it . _________________ "Shoot low boys, the're ridin' Shetlands" |

Morgan, that website address is not working. There are a good few "music on the mountain" sites as well. Maybe you can find a link for us. Thanks. |

I just read a review about a cherrywood Allen Melbert 6 string. It only had one review, but it was pretty positive (actually, very positive). Here is a link to the review http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Guitar/product/Allen+Melbert/6-String+Lap+Steel/10/1
Certainly looks like a deal to me. Makes me want to take up the lap steel.
I hope that the link helps, Morgan.

Thanks for your help guys, on helping me get people linked up to the website of Bob Allen.
I am not the best at computers. A few years ago, I couldn't turn one on.I am still learning some basic operations that my kids could do when they were 10 years old.
I guess that technology has passed me by. _________________ "Shoot low boys, the're ridin' Shetlands" |
