I am curious as to how many of us out there are still using Sho-Buds for working guitars? I see at most ALL the shows, big & small, they are few and far between. I guess I'm just old school, I just can't seem to change. They have done me very well for about 45 years now. Love em, Love em, LOVE EM!

I'm right there with you. I've got one that Paul Franklin Sr. built and it's a good one. _________________ A couple of guitars

I just played a jam this past weekend using my Super Pro and Fender Steel King amp. A good friend of mine was there and at the end of the evening told me to sell all my other guitars and amps and keep this outfit. Best sounding he's heard. This friend is a connisour of fine steel tone. That's a pretty strong statement considering I have a D10 Emmmons LeGrande SKH, a D10 Derby Lacquer, an Emmmons S10 push pull, Webb, Evans SE200, (2) Peavey Nashville 400s with mod, Fender Blues Deluxe w/15" JBL, & Peavey Nashville 112. Keep on playing them Buds.

there is a great ole steel player in the sacramento area everyone knows as 'brownie' who put his d10 emmons in the closet several years ago and now shows up everywhere with his s10 sho-bud. tuned down to his special d tuning, his tone and style puts everyone down. beautiful full steel tone, fat chords, great older hip norm style picking, smooth stuff...great guy! yay brownie!! |

I play mine every other weekend in rotation with the "other" guitar.
My buddy Neil Harry has been playing the same Sho~Bud since 1971......How many of you can match that? _________________ Always remember you're unique..... Just like everyone else |

I do. I thought everyone else played the "other" guitars because they couldn't find a Shobud? |

My Pro 111 Custom has been my gigging guitar for 33 years. Just one stripped leg socket in that time which was fixed by a helicoil insert. It was built to last and has done several thousand gigs, many sessions and sounds better to me now than it did when I first got it. _________________ Show Pro D10 - amber (8+6), MSA D10 Legend XL Signature - redburst (9+6), Sho-Bud Pro 111 Custom (8+6), Emmons black Push-Pull D10 (8+5), Zum D10 (8x8), Hudson pedal resonator.
