I have read a lot on the forum already and it seems that people really like the stroboflip and the VS2. It alway takes me quite a bit of time to get my guitar in tune real good and I think one of these tuners would greatly help.
What I am searching for is 1)best accuracy 2) being able to program the temperments. 3)Easy to use

thanks

Ben

I like the Flip; easy to program and use. A ridiculous 1/10 cent accurate.

Any Peterson with the sweet tuning feature is some mighty fine technology. Since I have a rack unit, I got the StroboRack model.

What is the power source for the smaller units? Batteries? Any wall warts? Bypass switch? These would be the only issues worth addressing... but purchasing a Peterson is a good investment IMHO.

Here's a vote for the 'Stomp. Smaller, same technology, built in active DI, especially if your a multi-instrumentalist.

The Flip for me. Fits easily in the side car of the Steeler's Choice (and others I assume) seat.

I use the V-sam but the result is the same, one is not better than the other.
They do not need to be programed, just turn on and tune.. or select E9th, C6th etc.
V-sam has a metronome and intro, kick off thing a ma gig..
You can program different tunings in if you want to.

I've been using a Strobe Stomp for a couple of years and it is great. Could barely live without it. It has the program ability of the VS2 but does not require some special holder to clamp it to the leg. It feels pretty bomb proof. I haven't used a flip but I would be concerned about the moving parts and the potential for problems at the hinge connection.

Ben the Stroboflip is probably the best bet for portability and convenience for most applications. If you are a rack man then you should also check out the Stroborack - these are awesome, I just picked up another one from Sue Haslam at the Peterson booth in Dallas for my 2nd rack system. The folks at Peterson are outstanding people to deal with.

VSAM for me. I think all Peterson tuners have the same accuracy specs and the E9 and C6 offset programs are the same (I think).

Does anyone use the guitar preset? I don't actually PLAY guitar, but I have a couple and this preset is real sweet.
