I had recently posted the "I'm So Confused" topic. I have pretty much narrowed down my choices to either a Fessenden or a Rains. I guess a did a little too MUCH research and found "issues" (I hate that word) with both. I just want to make the right decision upon my "re-entry" to the PS world. Any advice.....or should I just flip a coin???

Jim, what kind of issues did you find with the Rains? the Fessenden? Inquiring minds, you know?

Flip the coin, both are good guitars,
You need to think about two things:
1.The cost
2. Which one appeals to your eye
Both Gary & Jerry stand behind there guitars...and build good ones, "YOU" need to make your pick not all of "us" here on the fourm... |

Jim, David is so WRIGHT. (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)
Both are FINE guitars. There is no "correct" decision.
Go with your gut.
You're just delaying your re-entry back into the psg!!
Life is short.
Come on in- The water's fine! |

Drove up to Fort Worth earlier and selected a gorgeous rosewood Rains SD-10. I supprised I could quit playing it long enough to post a reply. After 9 hours on the road....I think it's gonna be an "all nighter". Thanks again to everyone for their support. Couldn't have done it without you!!!

Jim,
Now we need pictures! _________________ The steel guitar is a hard mistress. She will obsess you, bemuse and bewitch you. She will dash your hopes on what seems to be whim, only to tease you into renewing the relationship once more so she can do it to you all over again...and yet, if you somehow manage to touch her in that certain magic way, she will yield up a sound which has so much soul, raw emotion and heartfelt depth to it that she will pierce you to the very core of your being. |
