At 1230 last night daddy died in my arms.I know he is in a great place.I will always remember him for his kindness, his strength, and his love.He was the one that started me in music since the age of seven. He was a true lover of "country music" and "steel guitar".He always said "when he passed through this life he would go to "Hillbilly Heaven" I believe that is where he is now.

Karen, I'm not too good with words at times like this, but what a comfort you must have been to your father, as God called him home. I only hope that I'm with someone who loves me, when my time comes. Godspeed, Rick

If you look a little ways down the list, there is a sad sad story of an old steel guitar player passing by himself. How beautiful it must have been to ser the love being shared between farther and daughter. A fitting lasting tribute to both you and your farther. I won't lie and say it ever gets easy. I have greived over my farther loss for 34 years. Take care

Karen,
My warmest prayers and sympathy for your loss. I know, having lost my dad too, the universe seems a little colder and meaner without your dad, but knowing his soul is now with the Lord enjoying a brand new "glorified" body is a pretty great thing to know.

Karen, I'm so sorry to hear about your father passing, Me and Roxannes' heart go out to you and Ron at this time. I lost my dad back in '95. He was a good man, just like your dad was a good man. In fact both of my parents have gone home to be with Jesus, and one of the things that I say to someone if they ask me about them is.I am proud of who I am and of them. Because they never gave everything I wanted, but they gave me everthing I needed. Always remember the good times that ya'll had while he was around. And they will see you through. I know there's time I'll be doing something and I'll run into a problem. I'll ask myself what would daddy do? And after a few minutes of thinking, it would come to me. Sending our love'

This was taken two days before he died.I will always remember him as a hard worker that worked in the mines to keep food on the table. He never complained, even when he was sick.He was always waving in the pictures.A happy man that had a great sense of humor.I will surely miss him.Thank-you all for your kind words. This is my daddy "Bill".

Karen, I can see some resemblance in you and your dad.May the loving hands of God reach out and comfort you at this time. As time goes the pain eases. I learned something a long time from a saying on a coffee mug, it read."Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a daddy. God Bless you Karen
