Congratulations to Ed Meadway, of Getzville, NY" for winning the December Steel Guitar Crossword!
Honourable mentions go to Bill Moore and Colm Chomicky, both of whom also correctly solved the puzzle but whose names, alas, were not drawn in the final random selection.

Jim, thanks for the honorable mention. Could you email me the price on your tab sets, I don't see a link on your webpage. I am interested in purchasing your "Someday Soon" tab set.
Donna, keep plugging away. If you get the next one right, you should get pretty good odds on the random draw. I think it takes a lot of odd words to fit in the nooks and crannies. It would not be a crossword without all the nooks and crannies filled in  The Vietnamese currency took me awhile to figure out and I don't know beans about Indian food. But, it would not be fun if it weren't a challenge, no? Maybe Jim will even have a "Donna" in the next puzzle? |

I got the Vietnamese money correct I think. I even got STREAMER for 42 across, which gave b0b the correct last name, Jon! I was pretty confident of my final puzzle. Was NEWT - OFT? I'd like to request fewer Indian and mid-eastern words. I'd be ok with Philippines, Puerto Rico, Japan, China and Kennesaw, Georgia words, though. d

Naw. Newt is eft. Used to catch spotted red efts in the woods. Cute little guys until you put them in a jar in the sun for a few hours. Gaaaa.
I'm thinking that my downfall was onto instead of unto crossing with Gua rather than Goa for--what was it, an Indian state? Oh, the humanity! |

Eft? Darn - well that's ONE. So is the right Indian dish Goa or Gua? I had Goa.
Lots of fun though. I used to have pet newts. Never have seen an eft, though. Not even a sun-dried eft.
