I'm gonna be visiting my old home town this week. Any hot tips would be appreciated! Is Uncle Dick playing anywhere? |

You must get down to Bender's tonight to see Dick with Denver Joe!! Joe is a Legend in these parts with a capital L. You will be highly entertained! (Warning: not for those easily offended by off-color humor)
My band will be playing Saturday night over at Club Corner in Wheat Ridge. Some samples at www.myspace.com/ethylandtheregulars If you like what you hear come on out.
(note: edited bogus dot from link - should work now)

Thanks guys!
Tim...I think I will try to make it to Benders tonight if it is in fact Wed. the 11th like the schedule says. Yes, I'm prepared not to sit in the front row for Denver Joe. Ha!
Dean...Thanks for the tip, I will call John. Great playing with you the other night BTW!!!
JB...I havn't heard too much lately from Mr. Drapes, except for the usual joke email. I think he's trying real estate....great timing eh? |

Rick, I look forward to the day when the 'or' can be deleted from your question. |
No need to delete it; just replace it with "and/or". |

Well so far, Denver definitely has jazz! Uncle Dick (Meis) is in Dallas with most of the rest of yall and canceled his Denver Joe gig last night. Oh well.
John...I'll call you again as soon as my time runs out here at the library computer. |

Hey Rick- On March 13th I have a gig with my duo the Lazarus Brothers. I will be playing lap steel on three tunes. Also, John Macy just engineered and mixed our record with our main project, Boulder Acoustic Society, so I guess that is a good reference. Also, I am playing a purple sparkle lap steel I borrowed from john (I normally play acoustic). Here is a link to the gig: http://events.swallowhill.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=1003

Thanks Aaron...I'll see if I can make it down to Swallow Hill tonight. It's only about 2 blks from my Mom's house. If I don't happen to make it, break a leg! |
