I've been wanting to record this project for a couple of years and finally, here it is! I've always loved Wynn, but what iced the cake was that he used Ralph Mooney on a lot of his songs.
I played the melodies on my Zum, and the intos, fills and turnarounds on a Fender 800 to really give it the Bakersfield (Mooney) touch. All live studio musicians as needed to get that authentic sound. The sound samples will tell you more than I can say.

[b]Here are seven sound samples, and there are more on my site. Click on the title to listen.

** Back To The Blue Room

** Wishful Thinking

** If You See My Baby (In This Lonesome Old Town)

** Half Of This And Half Of That

** Livin' In Sunshine

** Yours Forever

** It's Such A Pretty World Today

A great set of Rhythm tracks are also available.

Gary,I,too, love Wynn Stewart's music.IMHO he never got the credit he deserved, some of it his own fault. He was still great, though,in my book.I'll be ordering my CD soon.

Right on Andy,
Ever since I met him In the 60's working with Buck Owens and a few others He's been the man...Not knocking other singers, but for my ears he knew how to work his voice and through the years many of the bands I worked with, we would do a lot of his songs and fill the dance floor with his music...
Maybe he'll get the recognition he deserves where he's at now...RIP...

Thanks Gary & Andy.

Jerry, it's on the way.

Chubby, I'll be in touch.

Tommy, that's still the Zum you put the mod on. Sounds better than ever. This time I recorded it through Hal Rugg's old Evans Preamp & Lexicon effects. Crystal clear!

Just wanted to give this CD some page time. If you havn't listened to the samples than what are you waiting for.
I got my CD just before Mike left to Dallas. I can't say enough on this Album. Other than it's perfect. If you love good ole country, Ralph Mooney, Wynn Stewart then pick this CD up.
You will not be disapointed. Mike is awsome and it sure shows, I think he's one of the best multi. instrumentalist I've ever heard. Very Happy

This morning I have been listening to this CD, "Wynners" which I obtained at the TSGA Jamboree. IT IS GREAT. I especially liked "It's Such A Pretty World", "Big Big Love" and my all time favorite Wynn Stewart song "Sing A Sad Song".

All the best. I enjoyed the fellowship at the show.

I got my CD and rhythm tracks a few days ago and I'm wearin' 'em out already. I work with a guy who does "Wishful Thinking" and I've been working with my "Mooney" pedal to get all those appropriate licks to surprise him with.....Good job Mike!....JH in Va.

I received the Wynn Stewart CD quite by accident but I have to say how much I've enjoyed listening to it. I guess I was lucky to stumble upon such a great find for my steel CD collection.
