Will be leaving Portland around 7:00 AM on Monday, March 9th. Hope to get there around Thursday, mid-day.
Has the economic down-turn hampered the bookings to date? |

I've been to the Dallas several times now, but I've always just driven down for the Saturday night session and then driven back home. This week I booked a room for Friday night at the Holiday Inn Express, and plan on attending the Friday night session and first session Saturday. My family and I have a wedding to go to on Saturday evening, so that rules out the second Saturday session. I look forward to seeing everyone!
BTW, when I called HIE to book a room for next Friday, the guy on the other end of the phone asked for my personal info. He started chuckling after I gave him my first name. I guess he thought it was funny to book Jason for Friday the Thirteenth. |

Looking forward it loads now. Finished work yesterday. Are you playing that multi-necked pedal steel Ray. I hope to meet you and hear you play. Why have you removed your avitar picture of that Montee Steel? It always facinated me!

David: I sent you an email and left out the answer to part of YOUR question to me.
The reason I cancelled my 'personal photo' and that of the Quad Bigsby......was the result of a nasty and demeaning post here on the Forum by one of our local boys who decided to lambast me, my "plastic guitar" and underpowered radio equipment with no output and the like.
His remarks came out of left field. At one time we'd been what I'd consider to be 'good musician friends'. I was so hurt and disgusted, I decided to quit the Forum all together. I removed the photo's and chose not to post any further on the Forum.
For reasons, yet unknown to me, after lurking for a couple of weeks, I jumped back in the mainstream.
I don't recall how to reinstall the photo's so, here I am, naked before the world. (That's just an expression).
I've made a lot of newer and kinder friends here on the Forum and I truly cherrish that. Thanks for your interest.
If enough people would really like to see the Quad, I could go ahead and tuck it into the van for the long cross country trek to Dallas. |

Well, I wouldn't want to disappoint any of you that are seriously interested in seeing/touching the Bigsby. It is a beautiful instrument and has never seen the inside of a pawn shoppe! No pedal rod upgrades or any other attempted modifications either.
I'll see if I can lift this baby up into the van. Altho' in reality, it's my inability to bend down and get it tucked safely into its case. The wife has said emphatically that she's NO RODIE!!!! |
