Are we sure that's what it is? If the "jacks" on the end are regular 1/4" phone jacks, the "device" is only 2 1/2" or 3" wide and about 5" or 6" long. Enlarging the image also shows what appear to be threads on the inside of the "jacks"?
It is strange, but I'd have to see the inside before I could be certain it's a volume pedal. |

| Looks like you have to roll the aluminum looking wheel to raise and lower the volume, if it is volume pedal! Don't know what the A and E stand for, A mabe amp, E? |

My German is rusty but I believe the "E" is the input
and the "A" is Aus for output. |

In the answer to one of the bidder´s questions the seller mentioned a capacitor along with the pot inside.
So couldn´t it be some kind of tone control to get that Boo-Wah, rolling the foot forth and back over the wheel?

The description says, it's a volumepedal where you need to roll your foot, for- and backwords. In the roll is a pot, that turns.
I can imagine when you play standing up, it's easier rolling then pushing a pedal. Or it's self-made from some-one, who maybe thought it was a better idea rolling then pushing.

You're quite right, Roger. IN (English)is indeed IN (German) as a preposition: "in the house" - "in dem Haus". As a prefix, however, IN becomes EIN: "income" - "Einkommen".
In this case "E" stands for "Eingang" (entrance/input), "A" for "Ausgang" (exit/output).

| Thanks Rainer, When i was looking at the pedal i was thinking on most pedals it says IN-OUT I was'nt sure what the E stood for in German. |
