Wish we could make it but this work thing gets in the way of my fun. Tommy Smith will probably be there. He's the guy that sang with you and Papa John two years ago. I really like the Gospel CD with you and Connie. Stay well.
Oh by the way I'm in a show with our fiddlin' friend, Gary Oleyar.

I'm supposed to play that night, but I'm sure going to try and get out of it. I'd rather see you. Larry

Bump to the top.

I'm going to plan on attending. I'm glad that Joe will be down here this year. I was looking forward to Haywood's annual steel jam in January, but received word that he's not promoting a show in Lakeland this year.

The date of my job was changed and I'm bringing two or three other steel players with me. Maybe one or two drummers but no banjo players though. c ya then Larry

My friend James Marlowe is giving me a ride, and we hope to have another friend with us. I hope we can have a nice turn-out to support Joe and the cause.

This was a great show. Very well attended and lots of money raised for the kids. Joe was excellent as usual. Great job by the backup band... Royce, the Wittakers, and the entire band.

I agree Dave. Everybody with me thought it was the best show they've ever seen. It's the first time I have seen Joe and I hope he'll come down to Florida again. The whole band is excellent and I found out they're there every Friday night. They're the best that I've found in Florida so far. Larry

It WAS a great show. So good seeing Joe again.
What a talented musician and a funny guy!
"Brother" was a nice treat and of course Joe's lovely wife sang beautifully.
The back up band really was awesome. Sure did a terrific job following Joe.
And it was good seeing several fellow members of the FSGC jam.

Great show! Dittos what everyone else said. In addition, Joe brought this dude with him named :Theophulus." Surprisingly, he plays as good as Joe! Amazing. Just goes to show you that appearances can be deceptive. Laughing

Sorry Jack. Wish you could have been there. Next time I see a notice on a FL show, I'll e-mail it to you so you can get it to the FSGC e-mail list and maybe announce at the jam.

There are some photographs of the show on my steel guitar photo album at the following link. The photos are all the way at the bottom.

Thanks to Jaret Marlowe, James Marlowe's son, for the photos and permission to post them. His photos came out quite nicely.
