John,
I have a lot of the same trouble, You are doing it in Stereo and YouTube is Mono, it just mashes your carefully balanced tracks.

Thank you James...I had just purchased a new movie making program and I thought it might have been something with the creating process. I'll give it another try a little later on. Thanks again. |

Hopefully this time it sounds a lot better as far as the audio...I can't do much about my not so good picking right yet. |

John,
That sounded good to me, but you sure set yourself a task with that one. I think most people cheat with a delay pedal to get the speed, I could be wrong though. I think I remember Dave Hartley explaining how he did it.

Hello James. I also remember Bobbe Seymour talking about how he used the digital delay on his recording of Rocky Top. To me...a delay unit would be difficult to get use to because you have to set the unit and follow at the same pace. |

Hi John, It sounds as though you got a few moves off of David Harley's version.
Practice makes perfect, but it sounded decent, so nothing to be ashamed of.
Keep up the good work.

Yes Don, I was very much inspired at the job David Hartley did on that song along with his other ones, he is a fantastic steel player. I'm getting way up in years now and people like David Hartley have been a great help to me. Thank you for your kind comments. |

Hey John, Remember, we're, only as old as we feel. As was said, you picked out a good one to do, but it's definitely not the easiest instrumental to play.
I learned Joug Jerigan's version of it years back, and used most of his version, with a little of my own thrown in. And yes! David's version is quite unique, and very well done. And, David is a very good musician, and person to go along with it.
