Cecil Campbell recorded it on an early RCA Victor 78 rpm. Look in an olde record sales place.

Simple song, easy to play.

I don't have tabs for Roadside Rag, but here is a version I recorded sometime back in E6th tuning on a 1957 Fender Stringmaster. I hope this helps.

I've always loved Jimmy Day's version.

Scotty's Music has tab for "Roadside Rag" by Herby Wallace. You can buy Herb Steiner's instructional material including Roadside Rag from this forum.
Terry Wood offers a version for Dobro® in this forum discussion.

Hope this helps!

I believe this instrumental came out in the 40's. I wish I could remember who came out with it first. It seems over the years everyone plays it just a little bit differen't. I first learned to play it in a non-pedal E13th tuning in the key of "E". I would then play the bridge in A-flat, but iv 'e also heard it played in B-Flat.

Billy:

The Hi-Flyers, Cliff Bruner, and Bill Boyd all did the tune before the war. Not positive, but I think Bill Boyd may have had the first version, possibly with Lefty Perkins on steel.
