After 3 years of legal red tape, I finally have the rights to sell the CD.

Bobby will have some for sale very soon.

Hi Mike, I am glad it is officially on the market. Forumites : I was fortunate enough to get an advanced copy before the problem came up. Mike really showed the world once again that steel guitar is adaptable to any style of music. Mike did a great job on arranging and a super job on playing. Jody.

Really great news MIke, perserverance has it's rewards, eh? A lot of folks will be knocked out with what you've done on this one- it's definitely throwing some "steel light" in some corners it doesn't get to often enough!

I got an advanced copy as well, way back on St. Pattys day. It's something to hear, what the psg can do in a very different format from our traditional country music. It's an advance that may well be beyond us, but a hope that other musicians in a classical environment might recognize the worth of the instrument.

Congradulations on the sucess winning your rights, Mike.

100% recommended, genius compositions arranged for steel with real empathy for the music. Mike puts a lot of heart and soul into his projects! If you haven't heard his "Firebird Suite" yet, grab it too! Free postage!!!

Mike, Tommy and I listened to the whole CD without the telephone ringing and any other interruptions - on our way to the Saluda show Sunday morning. My absolute favorite piece - in case you'd like to know . . . Somewhere. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. We finished the CD with the intention of playing the Louvin Bros tribute CD next. Of course, I really wanted to hear Somewhere again. Thinking Tommy would dismiss the request since he was also eager to hear his Louvin Bros CD, I merely suggested we listen to it one more time. Then another. Then another . . . you get the picture.
Great work, Mike!!

I want to thank everybody for all the kind words regarding the CD.

For the record, I didn't win the rights to release it, I bought them. There was no court battle or anything like that. Just a couple of thousand dollars changing hands. I could have done this earlier but I had to save up the money, and I was hoping a legitimate label would pick up on the CD (which still may happen)

At any rate it's availabe now.

If anybody wants to hear a sample, there are 2 MP3's from each ot the CDs that can be downloaded from my web site. www.mikeperlowin.com

I hope you like what you hear.

Yes very good news Mike!!
It was a matter of time I guess,
but unfortuantely a long time.
Still its done and " set in steel so to speak.
The Maria I heard would have pleased Leonard B.

Good luck with it I will get a copy next order from the forum.
