It took some time but Karen finally picked up music again. She still has lot's of hearing problems but she decided to try and work with the restrictions that she has.
I have to say that the results are astounding. This is the first song of her new Gospel Album that probably will be released around June.
Karen Kaylee - Lord are you listening
I hope you like the outcome of this song and don't let the intro fool you. This is a rough cut.I have to mix down the final one when we have them all done.
Ron
P.S
We just received Bobbe's newsletter and for your information. This is played on a Rittenberry. |

That's great news indeed. I'm always inspired by people who work through obstacles blocking their way. As the late, great, Curtis Mayfield once sang: "Keep on pushin', Karen. steve t |

Thanks for listening and thank-you for the encouragement. My ears are still not good and its hard to use headphones but I am not letting that stop me.Thank-you for all the prayers that you all have sent up for me they sure are helping.
I wrote this song at my lowest point and the words are true to my heart. There is nothing more devastating than a singer going deaf...and that is what I have had to deal with. Some days are good and others? well that is when I ask the good lord to listen and believe me he has.Take care folks and stay healthy.I love ya all!

Karen: that's great. I'm astonished that you can keep in tune without being able to hear the accompaniment. Any day now you'll be hearing pins drop. Just keep the faith. |

Thank you all so much guys for these kind words. This means a whole lot for Karen as well as me.
It is astounding what the human mind can do when it has itself focused on something.Karen is my hero in music and although I never told her this....she probably knows.
The way that she tackled this major problem is just in one word...unbelievable.

Now that Karen can hear a little, it inspired me to start recording "Heaven Knows". I laid down the vocal, but it's so cold down in my sub-basement den that I've adjourned for today. Let's hope it gets warmer later in the week. It's been raining here in Northern California for several days nonstop. |
