The RISGA had a big group jamming at todays meeting. About 20 pickers from R.I. , Mass. and N.H. , pedal and non-pedal steels , Dobros , acoustic Hawaiian and Bass & mandolin & guitars !! Pres. Marcia was not feeling too well , so a quick meeting was held and then 4 hours of food & jammimg !! Rose Sinclair , non-pedal stand up steel player from the well known N.E. touring Show band " Girl Howdy" , dropped in to say "Howdy" along with Cindy Lane & Homer!! The only problem as usual was Manny & Roger being mean and making fun & laughing at my old non-pedal Rick. steel !!! But I'm going to get some peddles(sp?) on my steel and then I'll show those young whippersnappers a thing or two !!! But , anyway , a great time was had by all !!! Eddie "C" ( the old non-pedal , no reverb , dead strings , out of tune , out of work old geezer )

At the next meeting, your chair will come unglued.
So take heed in advance, and make sure it`s well- screwd.
If you don`t want to sit next to me, I no longer care.
But if I retaliate, lookout for your chair.
And with Roger Trahan, as a close ally.
You can kiss your old seat goodbye.
To sum it all up, it will be doomsday for the cocky "Old Geezer".
I can just see the headlines now, "OLD MAN GETS KNOCKED ON HIS KEESTER". |

Sorry Anne and I couldn't make it..we're on vacation in Sanibal Island, FL. Sitting on the beach with my ipod playing country music, drinking a pina colada...doesn't get any better than that!
Eddie, thanks for coming down...we can all learn quite a bit from your clean and tasteful non pedal style. _________________ Sierra S10 (three!), Peavey 112 and 115, Benoit dobro, Beard Model E dobro, Beard Roadophonic, MSA Superslide, Dean Nickless custom dobro |
