Most interesting, how the same intro was handled by the master, Mr. Tom Brumley and interpreted by Mr. Mickey Adams, who I am most certain ment no disrespect in that interpretation. I can also see how it could be very useful to beginners to have both tabs posted on the same thread to compare the differences. As I played Mr Brumleys original intro, one of the phrases jumped out at me. I immediately recognized it as having been played in the Buck Classic, Together Again. The one in question in the Tom Brumley intro, is played at the second fret, strings 3 and 5 where the third string is raised a half tone(B pedal) as the bar is slid back to the first fret. This gives the illusion of lowering string 5 a half step, which now can be accomplished on some steels with a lever or pedal that in fact does lower string 5 a half step. Beginners that have purchased a "Tricked out" E9th neck, might never even think to try this change the way it had to be done before the string 5 lower. Also a good way to show just how much can be accomplished with the basic 3 pedal, 4 knee lever set up. There is a world of learning in the basic 3/4 E9th neck...

I transposed this piece a half step for one of my students in NYC. I loaned her a guitar to get started..(She works with someone quite famous playing bass)...She had her first gig after only a month of practice just a few nights ago..I certainly didnt mean to discredit Tom, its merely my interpretation...And Dick...as always...great work..

Hey I'm all about interpretations and transposing and a variation of ways to play something. I believe a student can get much more out of variations and coming up with additions and just making something play easy for them.
Most the Lloyd Green stuff I have tabbed or played; I end up doing it in a "easier way to play for me"; type rendition; and learning how he did it and learning how I can do it that fits me, just makes a better player and understanding for someone.
Ya'll are too cool for school man.
Mickey; you do the steel guitar world a HUGE JUSTICE man...I admire your dedication and hard work to teach. YOU ARE a true teacher.

At the start of the 2nd tab line - the phrase using fret positions 8 and 10 - isnt that strings 4,5,6 not 3,5,6?

Thank you very much for doing these tabs! As a beginner the Mickey Youtube videos and your tabs are amazingly helpful.
