Early in my career I bought a new 1949 three-neck Fender Custom, and then later a Bandmaster amplifier and Fender footpedal, so Fender has been a companion for many years, even though I was not privileged to know Mr. Randal. I'm anticipating the completion of your book so I can become better acquainted with all of the Fender family that you knew so well.

I guess what I also find to be very sad is the fact Donald Randall passed away before Jody's book will eventually hit the press. I'm sure Don was looking forward to seeing it in print just as much, if not more than myself. Jody has tackled this huge project authoring the Fender Story, encountering many difficulties along the way as happens with most any publication, however in the end, all of us will benefit and be treated to a fascinating story which could only be related by Jody. All the best, pal ! |

Jody, it was a shame that Mr. Randall never got to read your book, but I know, he wishes you Sandy and yourself nothing but the best if he were here..
