Topic: Identifying Peavey Speaker Type |

I have a Marrs cabinet that I've always loved the sound of. For whatever reason, I never opened it up to see what the speaker was. Having finally done so, I now see that it's apparently a Peavey from the looks of it but it has no markings on it anywhere. (??!!)
Any hints on how to figure out what it is? |

Mystery solved by simply asking the guy who sold it to me. (Duh!)
It's a 1501 or 1502 (At least that narrows it down...) 4 ohm pulled from a Nashville 400.
Still seems a little weird that I can't find any markings on it anywhere, though. |

Have you looked near the terminals? They normally have a tag inside just above the terminals.

The 1501 has a smooth cone and the 1502 has a ribbed cone. I have 2 NV400's, one with a 1501 and one with a 1502. |
