This year's jam will take place the weekend of February 21st and 22nd.
As before, the jam will take place at the El Arco Iris restaurant, 5684 York Blvd, in the Highland Park section of Los Angeles. We will start around 11AM and go till around 4:30 or 5, with a lunch break at some point.
Also as before, attendance is free and everybody is invited to come and listen and meet all the players. Also as before, those who want to play must contact me in advance and reserve a spot on whichever day they want to play.
I hope everybody within a reasonable distance comes and joins in the fun. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

Six of the 10 Saturday slots have now been filled. There are only 4 open slots left. However, nobody has signed up for Sunday yet.
Since this is a matter of first come first served so to speak, anybody wants to play on Saturday has best contact me ASAP.
Of course, everybody is invited to come both days, whether you play or not. Come and meet us all and listen to some great players in an informal setting. and join is for lunch.
As always, admission is free. Nobody pays, nobody gets paid (except the restaurant of course.) _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

Yes John. I kept them in a wrd file so I could re-post them every year. I think it's a little early to post them right now. I'll do it in a week or 2. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

Larry, Blackie has already signed up to play on Sunday. Saturday is already filled up.
Please E-mail me if you want to play so I can sign you up.
If you want to come and watch, 2 players from Ukaipa and San Bernardino respectively will be coming on Saturday. I've already arranged for them to car pool. Perhaps I can hook you up with them and you can get a free ride. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

Mike, so sorry to say, but I won't be able to make your jam this year. Patty my wife fell at work and broke her hip, so I'll be sticking around the house nursing her back to recovery for the next couple of months. I'll look for pix on the forum, and be sure to count me in for Perl Jam '10. _________________ Dave Wren

Thanks Jimmy, I'll pass your kind words along to Patty. I know she is as disapointed as myself that we have to cancel out this year. Do me a favor, and do "Falling In Love" again.... your steel really rings out on that one!
Take care, dave. _________________ Dave Wren

Bummer David. The way you make that Carter sing is always one of the highlights of the jam.
I hope your wife is feeling better. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

Thanks for the compliment Mike. Considering the level of the great LA pickers who gather for this jam, it really does mean a great deal. Next year I plan on playing thru the lunch breaks to make up for this year
As much as the playing, I really will miss catching up with my S. Cal steel buds... I may have to find another excuse to come south when Patty is back on her feet. _________________ Dave Wren

Larry Bales, if you're coming, we're making you sing! I think Mark Switzer sang a couple of tunes a couple of years ago, but that's it as far as vocalists, and we should enjoy more great singers from our area, imho.
I'll be pickin' on Saturday. Heck, I might even sing, too. _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION

John, we will have another great singer joining us on Saturday. I'm happy to say that after a 2 or 3 year absence, Al Parrett will be gracing us with his presence.
Aside from being a great singer, Al is the first steel player I ever worked with, back when I was playing lead guitar. Our paths crossed several times during the 80s, but he now lives quite far away and we haven't see each other in 2 or 3 years. I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing him again. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.
