Hello,

I'm looking to learn jazz on C6 which is a new thing for me, and I was hoping you all might share your favorite ways to play II-V-I (major and minor) or VI-II-V-I on C6. I figure I'll start with Autumn Leaves or something to get my mind around it. I only have a couple ways to do it that I like and they're all major....

Thanks,
Gabriel

Wow, what a blast from the past. It was fun to look at all that again.

Actually, the sound files I generated for that thread are still active. I think I still have the ones for John, too, but the links had to be edited years ago, and I could only edit my own posts.

Amazing to think that we did that little exercise ten years ago. Digital recording and internet bandwidth have come a very long way since then.

Thanks for the memories!

Hey Jerry, good to see you.
If there's anything I can do from this end to rectify that, let me know... and thank you for your kindness in posting the sound files in the original thread. It was fun.

John & Jerry, that information is so helpful. Thanks. I'd forgotten how many instructional posts you have up here, John. Great stuff. Thanks to b0b for keeping the old threads open. steve t

Gabriel. Awhile ago, I undertook what you are now starting. Jerry was kind enough to help me find all the Autumn Leaves stuff, the tab and the sound files. I have it here and will post if someone tells me how to do it here. If it is easier, I can email them to you with the author(s) permissions. Thanks again guys. Glad if I can be of help. Zeke

Thanks everyone. I'd forgotten about all the Abersold stuff, so I'll be getting some of that for sure. Zeke, as for the sound files and tab, it would be great if you could email it to me, if it's okay with the author....

Thanks again,
Gabriel

Thanks to the technical expertise of Jerry Gleason, and his forethought in saving those old sound files, the links on that old thread have been updated and brought to life again. I got a kick out of hearing them again. Thanks Jerry.
