Does anyone know anything about a Wilcox guitar? I saw one on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=200303727636) for around a grand. It's an SD-10 (4/3), Emmons setup. My concern is in the area of staying in tune. I'm playing a GFI right now that is dead-on as far as the pedals returning strings to their proper tuning. I think I'd like to have a 'back-up' guitar and this one seems priced right! I'm just not sure about the quality of the guitar I'd be getting! Thanks for any input Bob Eldridge

If you do a search, you'll find a ton of opinions. Chet Wilcox will probably chime in shortly.

Bob,
I have played a Wilcox for 4 years. It stays in tune just fine. You really can't beat it for the price. That is a fairly new guitar on ebay. Chet has refined his guitar over the past couple of years and they are a LOT better than his first guitars. I think an SD-10 goes for about $1300.00 new,so,that one on ebay is a steal on a new steel !
