We're looking for a used 6 string electric guitar for a Christmas gift for a son. If anyone has a professional/semi-professional model laying around not in use any longer, send us an e-mail. Leaning towards an Les Paul Studio, Fender Strat or Tele, Any G&L.

Mark, I'd suggest Musicians Friend on line at www.musiciansfriend.com. They offer the Epiphone Les Paul line and the Fender Squire Strat and Tele. All of these are excellent choices for a beginner. Very playable and many under $200.00.
