Uh, no. It's the reason I left home within a month of my 18th birthday. I don't like cold weather at all.

Yeah, I posted a little bit of my playing over in the music section, if you wouldn't mind taking a listen.

I started my "professional" (?) steel playing career in Corry PA! Does that count for anything?? That was 1947 and I almost made a living a couple of times. Did my best in Ashtabula OH? Oh, well!??

I'm "from" Mechanicsburg but that's not western Pa.

I talked to Dick Vernon yesterday and he said it was 10 degrees and snow on the ground. I like it better here in Florida, it was 78 yesterday and supposed to be the same today.

It's going to "cool down" Sunday for the superbowl and they are predicting mid 60's. Lots of Steeler and Cards fans hitting the area. I don't want to get "killed" by the Steeler fans but I'm going with the underdog Cardinals.

Gee Whiz, if I fell over, from my shop here in Mt Savage Md, I would be in Pa, as the crow flys, its only about a mile. Chuck Rhodes of Armbrust Pa & I used to ride motorcycles together & I would pick his brain about steel guitars. I love Pa and the Steelers!! I play once a month over in Pleasantville [Alumbank] at the firehall with all my Pa buddys.

Russ, i'ts indeed a small world; my mother grew up in Glassport. Did you graduate from Glassport High or South Allegheny? I was in the SA class of 1967. Is your name Hungarian or some other Eastern Euorpean type? Karen, I have relatives in Greensburg &, Alan, I did lot of golfing as a kid at the South Park course. Great course and cheap too. We should make Ernie Joe honarary Pennsylvanians. A big welcome to Clinton! steve t

Steve,

I moved to MI. early on but my dad went to Penn State and is a big Steelers fan. He's also a Red Wings fan as we moved before the Penguins came in the league.

Doug,

Besides Buck Owens and Doc Williams, NOBODY has a memory as good as yours. How on earth do you remember every single picker and club you've ever played in? Maybe you remember when Tim Jones, Buddy Spicher and Jeff Wisor played in Corry? Or perhaps when Jimmy Dickens played with Walter Haynes at the Corry Roller Rink?
