Since I may never own a PSG unless I win the lottery or win big in Vegas(fat chance!) in Feb 09, I try to use my 1980's era Traynor Solid State TS-100 for multi use guitar and lap steel practice. Yes, its a poor mans twin reverb but I can't seem to get anyone to comment; that has had any experience with them, other than a reply from Seymour Duncan when I sent an inquiry about some pickup changes in Strat and Tele knockoff clones(great tone though)and one of their techs loves his!! Pedal wise, I Rolling Eyes watch the forum here and have scored some awesome pedals and even a Lexicon Reflex unit. Maybe I just wanna be different and save money and not buy Peavey or Fender etc? Any takers on this post or maybe I should just shut up and play??

The Traynor TS series amps are not bad for clean sounds, but they sound like hell if you crank up the preamp gain and naturally overdrive them. It's a very sloppy, grainy, uneven distortion and I find it quite painful to listen to.

Also, most of the guitar amps in the TS range came with speakers that had huge square magnets. I don't know who made them, but those speakers have an extremely thuddy sound with way too much low treble / upper midrange.

Yah, I was thinking of replacing the original speakers with some Weber speakers anyway, Thanks for the reply my friend!
