Ok,,,,Not going there to play Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad . My boss had a handmade model ship, the Intrepid, constructed by Thor Grundell, a world renown model builder in Norway. Not wanting to risk shipping it, we are flying there with a few seats removed form the plane to pick it up!..Should be a very interesting trip...When i get home guys...Lots more videos to post..and the book is coming along nicely!...thanks for all of your support, and emails....Mickey

They carry a lot of planes in ships, so why not carry a ship in a plane? Makes good sense to me! Have a fun and safe trip.

Hey, Mickey,

It was great meeting you at the Jackson Jam at Steel Guitar Nashville.

We just got back from Oslo a few weeks ago. We went there to play for the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony. Long thermal underwear is a GREAT idea!!...Very cold and a lot of darkness this time of year. Only daylight a few hours a day when we were there.

Also, watch your wallet.....one of our guys was pick-pocketed while 7 of us were walking back from dinner one night. We chased him for a while, but he was about 6'3" and was taking one step to our 3, so we didn't have much of a shot at catching him. Takes a lot of.......guts to pick pocket somebody when they're walking with 7 people.

Be careful and have a safe trip.

Tim

Thanks for posting that Bent!...Yep i had a really nice visit with Tore. He is a fine steel player, and the man can play guitar like a pro as well. He was a very gracious host. We spent a very relaxed few hours at his home outside Oslo. The trip we made was rather short, and given the time zone change I was quite off-kilter. I made the takeoff from Oslo in the driving snow, and then immediately left the controls to my boss, and slept all the way to Iceland. We actually flew all the way home today. Another adventure for the picture albums...Im looking forward to meeting many new friends this year too....Thanks again tore for a great visit!.....peace!...Mick

Glad you made it home safe, Mickey.
And thanks for taking the time to visit. You are both a super player and a super nice person. You left me with some new things to work on Cool
If I where living in the Dallas area I know whom I would have as a steel teacher! The things you know on the steel.......... great!

Hey Mickey, sure would like to see a pic of the model. It must be pretty large, 4 to 5 feet my guess.
