I bought a fender by sho-bud d-10 and it is my understanding that the pick-ups were either wound to fender specs or built by fender. What is the difference in ohms between say a shobud or emmons vs fender? I will say that plugged in my old blackface twin it twangs !!

My Fender Artist D10 had pickups wound to 11K. Most Emmons pickups, these days, are around 18k, or even higher, though some of the older ones were wound lighter. An early 70's Emmons S12 I owned, had a 12k pickup in it...Jerry
