For you Cindy Cashdollar fans out there, I found an awesome DVD with Cindy playing behind The Great Redd Volkeart at the Continental Club in Austin. The two of them are absolutely tearin it up!
I bought the "TeleTwang" DVD to get the show at the Continental wich is no longer available on Redds website. This is better yet if you play a Tele, you get the "Pork Chops" for free.
As an added bonus you get to see the best James Brown impersonation that has ever been done! LMAO!

This is an instructional DVD for Tele players, with over an hour of Redd and Cindy included.
Fine playing by Cindy on her Fender Stringmaster and another steel guitar I can't seem to identify. _________________ John Drury

Over an hour of music on the DVD of Redd, Cindy, and an two other excellent musicians!
A dozen or so great Telecaster licks on the "TeleTwang" portion of the DVD. _________________ John Drury

The other guitar is a lap steel by Cindy's ex, bassist, Frank Campbell. |

Andy,
I tracked it down through Redds agency, click on the link in my first post, it will take you straight to it.
It is the same as the DVD of the live performance at the Continental within an instructional DVD.
Price of disk is a bargain just for the "Pork Chops", a cool steel lick for the Tele is on there along with many other neat licks.
There are two instrumentals on the Continental Club portion that are excellent, "Tube'n" and "sleepwalk".
Some pretty gnarly picking on the 6 string by Cindy!

She'll be touring this summer with Dave Alvin and the Guilty Women. I have found them on the play list at both the Labor Day Strawberry Music Festival and the Live Oak Music festival (father's day weekend). They will probably be playing other California dates around those times. The Time Jumpers are listed on those same venues. _________________ Amor vincit omnia |

Andy,
I hope to catch those two one day, a couple of my very favorite players! _________________ John Drury

Do those schedules say anything about her coming to Ohio? I think she was in Cincinnati, OH (sp?) last year.

Cincinati was named after the Roman hero Cincinatus. You should look him up. He's very interesting. _________________ Amor vincit omnia |

ok I looked it up.
Cincinnātus, Lucius Quinctius, a legendary Roman hero who, according to tradition, was called from the plough to be dictator in 458 BC, when the Roman army under the consul Mincius was blockaded by the Italian tribe of the Aequi on Mount Algidus. He defeated the enemy, resigned his dictatorship after sixteen days, and returned to his farm. He is often cited as an exemplar of old-fashioned Roman simplicity and frugality.
I guess I could dig out a map.
Cincinnati, OHIO. I looked it up.
Now, how does that answer my question about Cindy coming to Ohio? |

Since you've been such a good student....
http://www.cindycashdollar.com/shows/
...will tell you.
She was in Cincinnati on November 21 past. I didn't see anything in that area on the list currently. It goes up to June 7th. It probably pays to check back every month or so. _________________ Amor vincit omnia |

I would like to meet her. I keep watching her DVDs over and over, but I am sure the real thing is much better than a DVD or CD could ever be. I will be watching that URL everyday. Thanks. |

Redds band from the DVD Teletwang. Bass player on left, drummer in the back. Don't know their names, but they are first rate musicians.
