Tablature

I have a hard time reading and understanding talature in songs, heck I can't even read music. But I can figure out the song and visualize it in my head and on the neck of my steel, when I play. I have tried Buddy Emmons Intro to C6, and when he talks about a certain note or a chord being 5 under or whatever number, I get cornfused real easy.
