Hey all, Josh, here again.

I've gotten the rock-blues kick out of my system for the time being.

So I now offer this free video lesson for C6 lap steel guitar showing you a multi-use riff/lick in the key of G.

The lick I'm offering for your enjoyment is moveable, can be played in any key and extremely versatile in that I've used it in Western Swing, Hawaiian and Blues songs.

As a little bonus, you'll learn a couple slants which are fragments of the harmonized G major scale.

Hope you enjoy it and can use it in your playing. Smile

The free vid lesson can be found here

In watching your video I must say your video leaves nothing out for a beginner. Your chord hand showed exactly not only how to place the bar but the strings/frets that you are hitting. In addition your picking hand was very clear as well, you showed exactly what strings you were plucking. This is a major problem with other instructors, They assume that the student either has x-ray vision and can see through the hand to see which strings are being plucked or that the student just should know.

Very well done!

Dean

Andy, Dean-o and Gary,

Mahalo nui loa for the comments, really good to know that there's ears on the other end of these short sample lessons (more to come Very Happy ).

BTW I may have forgotten to mention that this very lick comes from my educational DVD lesson entitled "St. Louis Blues"

Not that I'm trying to shamelessly plug my lessons (Cool ), but a forum member emailed me asking me for more of this type of Hawaiian Swing type phrases and ended up purchasing the St. Louis Blues DVD because it's chock full of swing and blues licks that he can use in his Hawaiian playing.

Plus, I've got a new (& insane) 140% money back guarantee that I'm offering for forum members:

Your DVD lesson purchase is fully guaranteed for 90 days--if you are unsatisfied with the lesson for any reason return it for a full refund of your purchase price PLUS I'll pay you an extra $10!
Now that's a money back guarantee!

That's how confident I am that you will enjoy my new DVD lessons.
