When i tune my 6th to A my tuner a lot of time shows it i believe real sharp kinda like something slipped. Then when i bring it back to pitch it seems to straighten up for a while. Not sure what causes this.

try backing all the nylon tuners where you know they are away from the changer then start tuning that string all over again. remember if you have a emmons adjust your split your lowest is with the set screws back at the changer and your split is on the nylon tuner. sounds like your riding against the changer
