The January edition of the recorded continuous airing of "Swingin' West" has just come up on the Internet on twangtownusa.com. It will be on 24 hours a day seven days a week, over and over, for the entire month.

The theme for this month, January, is Something, Old, New, Borrowed and Blue. It will include Old material by Hank Thompson, Buster Doss, Al Clauser and Bob Wills. In contrast, the new items will be by Switzerland’s Rhythm Train and then from Texas, Milo & Rachel Deering, Hank Stone and Chuck Cusimano.

The items borrowed are by R.W. Hampton from Merle Haggard, Igor’s Jazz Cowboys from Western music, steel guitarist Jim Cohen from pop music and Smith’s Ranch Boys from rock-a-billy.

The tunes with the word blue are from the Light Crust Doughboys, steel guitarist Al Vescovo, Lisa Lally and Kelli Grant with the Swing Kings. The album closes with the theme by two former Ray Price Cherokee Cowboys steel guitar wizards, Bobbe Seymour and the late and legendary, Jimmy Day.

The recorded edition of "Swingin' West" can always be heard by clicking the mouse on the appropriate spot on the bottom of the home page of the "Swingin' West" web site, www.swinginwest.com

Thank You!
Mike Gross

Don,

Thanks so very much for the bump.

My Saturday afternoon weekly show will be pre-empted this week by basketball so it will be a good time for regular listeners to give this "anytime" show a listen.

Dang, I knew something wasn't right when I tried to tune in!
Well, I'll just listen to the continuous airing.

Thanks Mike!

Mike told me earler that's why I bumped the 24/7 as a replacement for those who haven't heard this month's show.
Thanks for trying anyway Rick.

Don, Jack and Rick,

You Florida guys are awesome and I can't thank you enough for the bumps. Maybe that is why I do so many sets of Florida steel players.

We will be back with the weekly show next Saturday and thanks in the meantime listening to this 24/7 show. It is worth another listen!
