I guess I feel like I gotta share this with some folks who can relate. I played today with a super fine swing band The Jangles. It was a special event for the Seattle Western Swing Society at an old classic dance hall in Everett just north of town. The Jangles are an acoustic band with Mike Faast fronting and playing real solid arch top rhythm, Lance Haslund on stand-up bass and back-up vocals along with his wife Laurie, Paul Anastasio on fiddle and an old friend of mine Roger Ferguson on guitar who is nothing short of amazing. For the event they added on two more fiddles, an accordian, a drummer,(and by the way he knew how to play with and acoustic band), and they had me playing my triple 8 Remington Steelmaster. Boy howdy there was some pickin' goin on. Lots of Bob Wills, a few cowboy songs and some swingin' standards. I think that's about as much fun as you can have without getting arrested for it. The best thing about it was that with all those players everybody up there knew how to lay out and support at the right times and shine when it was their turn. Gotta love it.

HI Dave,

Thanks for the invite.
I enjoyed the show and it's nice to see and hear some
of the local talent, here in "The Great Northwest."

BTW: The next Western Swing Dance will be on Sunday
FEB.8th at Normanna Hall in Everett.
