Thanks a Million Nic!
You wouldn't happen to know if anyone has ever tabbed that particular version out; would you?
Willing to pay a
$$$ fee.

Best regards,
Jack

No, I do not know if anyone has tabbed it.
It must be quite a job. Smile

Maybe you could ask Henk Braaksma in Holland.
I believe he still plays it and maybe he can help you.

I do not have his details, but I am sure you could Google him.
Good Luck!

Jack, I can't help but I'll say that's one of my favorite recordings of all time. Love them triplets.

Stacy Phillips' book "The Art of Hawaiian Steel Guitar" gives two tabs, one for King Bennie Nawahi's version from the late '20s or '30s, and the other Stacy's own version. The King Bennie is on a cd named (!) "King Bennie Nawahi" (Yazoo 2055). If you haven't heard this CD, you're in for a treat! Amazing picking on a National squareneck tricone. -Chris
