With deepest and sincerest respect, please take note of the above important topic posted by Jody Carver,'Knight of Fender Tweed', in the "Gone Home" section, here on SGF.

As a dear supporter and friend to the Steel Guitar world, Mr.Donald D. Randall, Fender Hall of Fame and a founding father of the Fender Instruments Company, has passed us at the age of 91.

It was Leo Fender and Don Randall who created and introduced the famous Fender Stringmaster Steelguitar's, Fender 400 & 1000 Pedal Steel guitars, along with their famous six string guitars and amplifiers that historically changed the world of music.

Additionally, it was Mr. Don Randall who recruited and mentored a young steelguitarist, Mr. Jody Carver as player/representative for the Fender Instrument Company. This relationship continued, thrived and blossomed for many decades.

Mr. Jody Carver mourns the monumental loss of his dearest and closest friend, Mr. Don D. Randall along with world of Steel Guitar.

Respectfully,

Ron Brennan
