Starting to appreciate the Texas steel guitar branch of the family - Detamore, Davis, & Dicky, to name just three.

Really clever use of the 2nd string here by Dicky. Check out Amber's music: http://www.amber-digby.com/4401.html

Added the AUDIO 2/19/11.

Frank,
I have that CD, and that's a great little intro for sure. Thanks for posting this. I'm gonna give it a go tomorrow. I figured out the stuff Rick Price did on "It All Depends On How You Pour The Wine" from her latest CD "Here Come The Teardrops". I've also learned Dicky's intro and solo from "Hinges On The Door" which is a great little workout. There's so much great steel from Overbey on all Amber's CD's. Once again thanks for sharing this and well done!

Joe,
I figured it out but never tabbed it. I'll tab the intro for you tomorrow, and then post it here in the tablature section. If I have time, I'll also tab out the solo for you.

Mike

p.s- Hope you like that BJS 15/16 bar I sold you.

Oh man that bar is killer, I haven't touched my 7/8 bar since I received your bar. No hurry on the tab, I just really dig that intro!

Frank,
Sorry if I've hijacked this thread a little bit. I just wanted to share my Overbey tab with y'all. Thanks.

I'd like to say this...that intro to "If You Were Me" in my opinion is exactley the way steel guitar is suppose to sound...so many people are wanting to make their steel sound that way and the second string half drop along with the palm blocking is the answer to it all.

Dicky's ride in 'I'll Be There' is the one that just knocks the fillins outta my teeth. If I ever heard better blocking, I can't remember when.
